Hello! I’ve been MIA for about a month as my blog has had some maintenance going on. I wanted to update everyone on what is going on in our crazy lives. You might have read that we are moving back to Kentucky full time. We’ve been dealing with some pretty stressful issues and this is the best decision for everyone. Ethan still isn’t eating. He has made huge progress during his time here, and we have learned so much. After working with Ethan’s feeding team for a year his feeding therapist moved away in March. This has left us in a very difficult spot. He loved her so much and has made more progress with her than any other therapist he has ever had. We were heartbroken to see her leave. This kinda left us in limbo for a while. Ethan has been regressing and things have not been going so good. Too many changes have contributed to the regression. We are looking forward to being back home in Kentucky, but we will miss Nashville as well. As to every story, there is more, but it’s personal and I don’t wish to discuss it.
A new chapter.
You might have also read that I will be opening up a shop in Manchester when we return. I made that announcement on facebook a week or so ago. My shop will be my workshop, where I will create all my handmade goodies. It will also be a space for other hand selected handmade maker’s to feature their items. I will be hosting regular craft nights where all supplies will be provided and it will be a great social gathering spot! I’m very excited.
I had announced that my shop would be “Mamarazzi Shop”. I had a show this weekend in Nashville and I finally made a realization. Have you ever heard of the brand Paparazzi Jewelry? If not it’s a company that sells all their jewelry for $5. It’s also a host/rep program and lots of reps setup at festivals and fairs. People have been associating my brand with that one. Yes, I make jewelry, but everything is handmade and I put my heart and soul into it. So, to distance myself from this assumption I’ve decided to rebrand my business to be more accurate to what it’s all about. That being said, The Makery, which is my new business name will open sometime this summer! We have a lot of work to do in the space, and we will be moving home in mid May. It’s going to be crazy busy! I will keep you guys posted on progress! I’ve already setup a facebook page ( https://www.facebook.com/themakeryky ) and an instagram account ( @themakeryky ), and I’m in the process of switching my etsy shop over to the rebrand. My etsy shop will still remain the same, just a different name. Your prayers are appreciated during this transition and our new adventure. Ethan is struggling with so much change, so especially remember him.
Here’s a picture of the space downtown. It used to be Marquerite Antiques + Vintage Boutique. Stay tuned for more news!
